Eagle Cave Campout -Register Online by 10/1!

Event Details:
Pack 801 Scouts and their families are invited to the Eagle Cave overnight camp out November 1st to 3rd

Check in time: Friday November 1st, 6pm-Midnight OR Saturday November 2nd, 7:30-11am

Check out: Sunday November 3rd, by 10:00am

Cost: $80/person Friday check in (4 meals included— Sat. breakfast, lunch & dinner, Sun. breakfast) or $65/person Saturday check in (3 meals included—Sat. lunch & dinner, Sun. breakfast) We have 25 spots available.

Registration Deadline is Oct. 1st Please register here and note if you will be arriving Friday or Saturday.

Payment can be made by giving a check or cash to our treasurer, Melissa Simmons by October 1st. Anyone not paid by the registration deadline will not be registered.

Camp Tecumseh

Event Details:

Once again, Pack 801’s annual fall camping trip will take place at beautiful Camp Tecumseh YMCA Outdoor Center, in Brookston, Indiana. We’ll sleep in Camp Tecumseh’s clean and cozy cabins. We have reserved 3 cabins which sleep 12-15 people each. Arrival is Friday evening after 4:30 and checkout is before 12:00 on Sunday. (Don't forget it is an HOUR later there as they are on Eastern time zone). Siblings are welcome to attend!

Deadline to signup and pay is Monday, 9/9!

It's time to sell POPCORN!

This is an opportunity for us to raise funds for the pack and the council.

Your scout can sell to family, friends, neighbors and they are able to sell at a store front.

Selling popcorn can help offset some of the fees that are required for cub scouts. Your scout will also earn reward points for all sales which will be distributed as Amazon gift cards.

Welcome Back Bonfire and Cookout

Event Details:

It's time for our annual Welcome Back Cookout & Bonfire. We hope to see you all there.
Encourage your Scout to "Invite a Buddy" and their family as this is a great opportunity to introduce our pack to interested kids and families.

This event is always a scout favorite each year, so don't miss it!

When: Friday, August 23rd
5:00 Meet and Greet
5:30 Dinner followed by S'mores

Sign-Up Online! - Pack 801 Fishing Derby

Event Details:

8:30 a.m. - Check in
8:50 a.m. - Flag ceremony, derby rules and fishing tips
9 to 10:15 - Fishing
10:30 to 11 - Awards

Location: Willow Lake located in Fox Mill Subdivision across from white gazebo (Directions: From Intersection of 64 and LaFox, head Southwest on LaFox for approximately .25 mile, turn left onto school Rd., dead end at Carl Sandberg with parking to the right).

Details:

  • Registration begins at 8:30 and is free.
  • Prizes will be awarded to current scouts for longest fish, the smallest fish, most number of fish caught by a single individual, and most unusual catch.
  • Grand Prizes awarded for the longest bass and most fish caught.
  • Siblings and Guests - Prize awarded for the most fish caught.
  • Bring a fishing pole. Bait will be provided.

Rules:

  • This is a catch and release tournament.
  • Parents/Guardians will help measure fish - This will be done on the honor system (rulers provided). Measure the catch to the nearest half inch.
  • We are operating on the honor system, it is up to the Scouts and PARENTS to track the number of fish caught.
  • A caught fish has to be taken completely to shore. If it jumps off the hook before getting to shore it is not considered a catch.
  • Please clean up your area and leave no trash behind when done. Leave it cleaner than you found it.
  • Have fun and good luck!

Twilight Swim Party

Event Details:

Meet up with your fellow scouts at Twilight Swim and have fun at the pool! This is a low key event, come for the whole time or just part of it, pay the Daily Admission ($7 - Twilight Swim), and look around for familiar faces! We will make "camp" at the Frog Bog Activity Pool.
