What is the Blue and Gold Celebration?
The Blue and Gold Celebration is an annual event celebrated by Cub Scout packs in the Boy Scouts of America, primarily to mark the founding date of Scouting on February 8th, 1910, essentially acting as a "birthday party" for the organization; it's often a time to recognize achievements, award badges, and include a special ceremony for AOL Scouts transitioning to Boy Scouts, all while incorporating the colors blue (representing truth and loyalty) and gold (representing happiness and good cheer) which are significant to Scouting values.

Building Guidelines
Before building your car, please carefully review the attached rules sheet (also included with your kit). Ensuring your car meets all guidelines is critical to avoid any disappointment on race day.

Need Help Building?
If you don’t have the tools or equipment to build at home, you’re welcome to attend one of three build days sponsored by the council or Troop 1. Advance registration is required. Details are on the Pack Calendar:

  1. Three Fires Council Build Days:
  2. Troop 1 Build Day:

Calling All Siblings!
We love including siblings in the fun! A special siblings race will take place after the Scouts’ races while scores are being tallied.

  1. Siblings can purchase a kit from the Scout Shop (approximately $6.99).
  2. Sibling cars must also be checked in on Friday during the regular check-in time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts and families to come together and have fun while fostering creativity. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Aaron Schmidt (amschmidt5@gmail.com, 608-577-4816). We’re looking forward to seeing all of your creative cars on the track and sharing an exciting race day with you!
